It was disappointing to hear 2 of the Mayoral Candidates run down Limerick City in a recent radio debate on Friday. Limerick Live95. If you are not passionate about the City. It's not the Job for you!. This is the Bannatyne building in Limerick Docks. Dereliction. Not for long. This will be refurbished and turned into office accommodation. A beautiful setting and even more fantastic development for Limerick City. The Arklow Raider moored at Limerick Docks this weekend. Waiting to be loaded with scrap steel. I've had many a run in with the Raider over the years in double and single sculls. She always drives upriver 2 hours before high tide and that's exactly when we row. I've been hit with 1m swells in a single. Tactic is simple. Row hard and hit the wave at 90 degrees. You get soaked but usually don't flip. The ship always wins #lincengineering #limerickchamber

People in The Treaty City walk the "3 Bridges" but out the road in Clare, over 17km, we have the four bridges of the Ardnacrusha Hydro Project. 3 are dull and uninspiring cutting the head race at 90 deg. O'Briens Bridge, Clonlara and Barry's Cross. They are elevated, barren of foliage and open. The last is a jewel. On the tailrace, cutting the water at a graceful 40deg, a wonder of nature with the trees and wildlife. #lincengineering #brendanshine

The tide is turning. When 90% of your first term cabinet members and your vice president say they will not support you then you have to pause to think. Maybe Donald is not such a good person to be president again. I think he will be schallacked and lose by 10 million votes this time. And then he will shout fraud etc etc etc. Yawn. Yawn.
