Joby Aviation is acquiring the autonomy division of Xwing. The acquisition will cover all of Xwing’s existing automation and autonomy technology activities.“The exceptionally talented Xwing team has not only made unparalleled progress on the development and certification of vision systems, sensor fusion, and decision-making autonomous technologies, but they’ve also successfully demonstrated the real-life application of their technology, flying hundreds of fully autonomous flights in the national airspace,” JoeBen Bevirt, founder and CEO of Joby, said.

I am putting together a panel for the upcoming RoboBusiness event in Santa Clara on Oct 16, 17. I am recruiting a panel of product managers who are currently working for a #robotics company and actively managing a roadmap that includes both #AI models and robots. This can include deep learning, perception, diffusion, machine learning - any AI-based product development. I want to explore the PM best practices, how the development process changes once AI is part of the product (i.e. changes to Agile development etc), how you prioritize features that include AI, have you changed how you write requirements for AI-based features?
