"Shorty," 99, of Sharon, KS, formerly of Wichita, died March 6, 2005. Service 11 a.m. March 8, 2005 at St. Boniface Church in Sharon, KS. Graveside service and burial 3 p.m.

March 8, 2005 at Andover (KS) Cemetery. Shorty was born Jan. 29, 1906 to Roy and Louella Criser on a farm north of Andover. Following the death of his mother, his father advertised for a mail order bride to come and be married to him and care for Shorty, his brother Virgil and sister, Velma. His sisters Avis and Erma were born to this marriage.

They all preceded him in death along with his wife, Jane, to whom he was divorced, his wife, Mildred, daughter, Linda Lou Criser and his only granddaughter, Kay Criser. Shorty owned and operated Criser Parking and Central Garage in Wichita, located across the street from the old Forum where Century Il now stands. He began parking cars in downtown Wichita in the days of Model Fords until his retirement (1924-1968). He had a strong work ethic, a firm handshake and a good sense of humor. He enjoyed his cabin at Eureka Lake and was an avid fisherman.

He was well known for his vegetable garden and canning abilities. It was a treat to receive a jar of Shorty's pickles. He met his loving wife, Eulanda (Butch) Rankin on a fishing trip and they were married Sept. 11, 1976 and moved to her home in Sharon, KS. Shorty is survived by wife, Butch of Sharon; son and daughter-in-law, Mervyn and Marcia Criser; daughter and son-in-law, Donna and Ancil Jennings all of Wichita; stepson and daughter-in-law, Linny and Marge Rankin; stepdaughter and son-inlaw.

She was a member of the United Methodist Church in Bucklin. She graduated from Bucklin High School in 1999 and Wichita State University in 2002. On Sept. 4, 2004 she married Jared H. Estes at Wichita.

He survives. Preceded in death by her grandfathers, Brady A. Hood and Richard Johnson. Other survivors include: mother and stepfather, Bertis and Beverly Kreutzer of Ford; father, Richard Johnson of Wichita; brother, Zachary "Bubba" Kreutzer of Bucklin; sisters, Natalie Sluka of Lincoln, NE, Sarah and Samantha Kreutzer of Fred; grandmothers, Jackie Hood of Bucklin, Irene Johnson of Lincoln, NE; nephew and niece, Colby and Taylor Sluka of Lincoln, NE; as well as many aunts, uncles and cousins. Paige's life, while too short, was filled with a lifetime of many memories, shared with her family and friends.

Paige's husband, Jared, was critically injured and is hospitalized in the burn unit at St. Francis Medical Center in Wichita. Liptak, Irene, 83, of Eureka, KS. and a longtime resident of Andover, KS. Loving and devoted wife, mother and grandmother, passed away Mar. 7, Irene was born in Ellsworth, ShE. her grew life up, working married and and raising spent 3 in Wisconsin and northern Illinois before moving to Andover in after retiring.

She was preceded in death by her husband Louis F. Liptak in 1988, and her oldest son Louis Jr. in 2004. Surviving sons Richard Liptak and his wife Cindy of Wichita, KS. and Virgil Liptak of Dallas TX.
